Inanimate Alice: Teachers' Edition Suite Just Released

For years, early adopters have presented the Inanimate Alice series to their students, capturing their imaginations and inspiring them to create their own versions of the story. Despite all the inefficiencies of browser/wifi access, those teachers have visited and revisited the site, time and again. They have been rewarded through extraordinarily high levels of student engagement.

Freeplay + ACMI's 2015 Parallels Indie Game Showcase

So I can finally now officially let another embargo-cat-out-of-the-squirming-news-bag: Pluto is part of this fabbo Freeplay Independent Games Festival Showcase! Andy Campbell and I will be presenting exclusive in-game footage at this stellar event. ISMAR 2015 Exhibition: Data Body As Artifact

Such approaches have shifted the ways in which we perceive ourselves, in relation to our online identities (data bodies) and their positioning within the various socio/political/ economic networks that they traverse. As our online presence consolidates, what happens to our material presence? What traces, shadows, echoes and footprints from digital presence become materialised?...The Data Body as Artifact Exhibition seeks to investigate these questions, along with challenging popular notions of what mixed and augmented reality art is, how we frame such an openly diverse field and most importantly, what contribution can creative discourse offer towards a broader understanding of how we humans situate ourselves within these constantly evolving multiple realities and finally what effect/affect this has on our bodies.

Provocare: Murderous Feminism in Liminal Fiction - The Writing Platform

"Queensland Digital Writing on the international stage: QUT and The Writing Platform" is an Arts Queensland-funded programme which supports collaborations between writers and interactive designers to develop works for exhibition on The Writing Platform. The first project supported by the programme is 'Provocare', a digital fiction, created by Meg Vann, Mez Breeze and Donna Hancox.
